Tarponville is a full service lodge which boasts of 100 pound plus tarpon. We have specialized in fly fishing for large schooling tarpon. The tarpon are numerous and not very wary. The lodge and house are located on the beach fronting a beautiful coral reef. The food is typical caribbean fare, which has received raving reviews. Tarponville has been operating for 12 years with 7 well-trained local guides. The clients come from all parts of the world; Italy, Holland, South Africa, Japan, US and Canada. About 66% of our yearly booking are return clients. We do not advertise but depend on word of mouth and return clients. The off season, Jan. Feb. June, July, Aug. Nov. and Dec. The lodge and house are available as a vacation rental (see:www.coralreefhouse.com and www.dolphinlodge.org). Althought there are fishermen in the off season, the vacation rentals during this time generate substantial additional income. There is room for expansion. The two facilaties will accomodate 12 fishermen. In all there are 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, two kichens, two dining areas, two large cover decks, one smaller deck. All furnitions are included.
