Villa Ambiente is a luxurious, three-story mini-resort that’s perfect for large groups with a zest for outdoor living.
This sprawling private estate spans 12 acres/5 hectares and is encircled by lush tropical jungle and awash in spectacular ocean views. Perched 800 meters above sea level, wildlife is abundant in and around the grounds, including indigenous monkeys, rare birds, neon-colored frogs, and the occasional Tepecuinte.

The property is located in the southwestern coastal town of Dominicalito, Costa Rica, approximately a three-hour drive from the Juan Santamaria International Airport and two & a half hours from the Panama border. Nearby towns of Dominical (10-minute drive) and Uvita (20 minutes) offer ample options for family dining and shopping. The Pan-American Highway, a two-lane paved road that connects much of the southern half of the country, is eight minutes from Villa Ambiente’s front gate.

There are a slew of tourist activities taking place daily within a short distance of the property. Top options include horseback riding, private surfing and stand-up paddling lessons, zip-lining, river rafting, deep-sea fishing, ATV adventures, snorkeling, guided jungle hikes, and yoga classes. A pair of pristine national parks are located nearby, Bahia Ballena National Marine Park in Uvita and Manuel Antonio National Park near Quepos, and both offer once-in-a-lifetime jungle/sea tours. Dominicalito also has its own small waterfall located within walking distance of Villa Ambiente.

Villa Design & Concept

Natural sunlight soaks the interior of Villa Ambiente. An open-air entry and lively flower garden greet visitors at the villa’s main entrance. Eight guestrooms—four on the first floor and four on the second—encircle the two-story garden and its accompanying water fountain.
The main entertaining area faces west toward the ocean, overlooking a 40-foot infinity pool just outside. Large windowpanes give the living area an outdoor feel, bright and alive. A modern kitchen with top-shelf appliances makes preparing meals seamless.
The pool area is all-encompassing and one of the highlights of the home. Swim to the edge of Villa Ambiente’s stunning infinity pool and you’ll feel like you can reach out and touch the sea below. There are quality lounge chairs, tables, a fully-equipped tiki bar, a fridge, a changing room, bathroom, outdoor shower, and barbeque all located on the deck. Rarely, if ever, will you need to go inside to get what you need.
There’s a viewing area on the third floor that’s optimal for witnessing wildlife in the surrounding forest. This is also a great place to take in an early-morning sunrise before embarking on your day’s adventure.

Villa Layout

All eight bedrooms are equipped with a refrigerator, safe box, AC unit, bathroom, shower, and private patio. Each of the four second-floor rooms features a king bed. On the first floor, two of the rooms have a king bed, one has two full beds and the other maintains one full bed.
In addition, there’s a separate ladies room on the first floor and an additional men’s restroom located on the second floor.
Housekeeping is provided daily. All linens and personal clothing will be washed on request. A fresh-cooked breakfast is made each day for all guests as well. There is also a security guard on the grounds.
